January 2010 News
Snow in December and January has looked beautiful in the arboretum, but sadly
caused some damage, particularly to evergreens as the sheer weight lying on them has
caused branches to break and split. However once the damaged parts have been
pruned out cleanly most should recover, given time.
Bulbs are coming through thick and fast, reminding us that spring is not so far away
and for details of our annual snowdrop walk on Thursday 11 February see our Events
section.
We have a new puppy, Teasel a brown terrier half daughter to Daisy. The staff are
almost as excited as the children and you may see it tearing about, it has already
chewed through one telephone line!
We are now able to offer a mail order service from September to March and for more
