May we wish you a very happy New Year as we embark upon 2012.

Our first event of the year here at East Bergholt will be Rupert's annual snowdrop walk, to be held on Tuesday 21st February starting at 10.30am. Tickets are available from the plant centre and cost £7.95 for RHS members, £9.95 for non-members. Booking is strongly advised as numbers are limited and it is normally a sell-out!

We hope to see you soon, and to encourage those of you who live further away to make the trip we have agreed a special deal with The Crown in Stoke by Nayland. Between now and 31st March The Crown is offering Place for Plants customers 20% off accommodation prices on mid-week stays Monday to Thursday.

It is still not too late to plant bare-root fruit and hedging, though best to do it as soon as possible, and we also have container grown fruit in stock. Other plants of interest at this time of the year include a good range of Hamamelis, Hellebores, and various species of the gloriously scented Sarcococca.
